In Performance-ANNE MARIE DUFF
My video is a quotation from the Shakespeare's well-known play 'Macbeth'. Anne Marie Duff who is an English actress noted for a tv series 'Shameless'  is enacting Lady Macbeth. I chose this video because like many other people, I admire to Shakespeare's works and Macbeth is  my favorite one. This part of the video is act 1 scene 5:
Come, you spirits
That tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here,
And fill me from the crown to the toe top-full
Of direst cruelty! make thick my blood;
Stop up the access and passage to remorse
...
Lady Macbeth is one of Shakespeare’s most famous and frightening female characters. She is stronger, more ruthless, and more ambitious than her husband. When I first read this play, I think how she is clever and elegant contrary to other female characters. She demonstrates that women can be as ambitious and cruel as men. For example, Lady Macbeth manipulates her husband with effectiveness, overriding all his objections when he hesitates to murder. Afterward, however, she begins a slow slide into madness just as ambition affects her more strongly than Macbeth. Lady Macbeth’s sensitivity becomes a weakness and she is unable to cope. At the end of the play she kills herself. To my opinion Anne Marie Duff enacts Lady Macbeth successfully. I find the video very impressive and fascinating. You should watch it just for a few minute, you'll like.
