REFLECTION TASK 3

 

I want to introduce you to my candidate Bear Grylls. Bear is one of the most recognized faces of survival and outdoor adventure. He is also one of the youngest ever climbers to reach the summit of Mount Everest. His journey started in the UK on the Isle of Wight, where his father taught him to climb and sail. Bear spend his three years as a soldier in the British Special Forces serving with 21 SAS. After a well trained process, he is involved in a number of television series in the United Kingdom and the United States about survival in the wild. He is best known for his television series 'Man vs Wild' also known as 'Born Survivor' but it ended in 2013. He married Shara Cannings Knight in 2000.They have three sons: Jesse, Marmaduke and Huckleberry.

In his dangerous adventures, Bear hasn't got anything except from his knife. He starts the journey without food and water. You can see his courage, ambition and love of nature in 'Escape from Hell', my favorite tv series. In this program, he struggles with the wildernes whether it be jungles, snow-capped mountains, burning deserts or steep canyons. It shows the true life stories of ordinary people who are trapped in extraordinary situations of survival from bandit attacks, to avalanches, being lost in ferocious sand storms... I chose him because Bear Grylls is very experienced, strong and bold person.
